Masculine Argyle Birthday

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Just a really quick post before I run to make dinner.  I was playing around with A Little Argyle and this is what happened.  I really need to work on lining up those diamonds, hence the twine and button to hide my mistakes.  I used Summer Sunrise, Scarlet Jewel and Enchanted Evening.   The sentiment and leaf are both from Masculine Motifs.  I sponged the edges with Colorbox Creamy Brown ink.  It’s not exactly what I pictured when I started out, but I don’t hate it.  That’s good, right?

Thanks for stopping by!

I think this is a great masculine card. It's simple, but striking. I know about trying to line up those diamonds. It takes some practice, for sure!

This is a great card Karen! I just love the Argyle stamp set. It does take some getting use to but there are just soooo many options with it.

Super male card, Karen! Remember there are no mistakes...just redesign opportunities!! Love the colors and I think the twine and button are great touches! Blessings to you!

Karen, you're brave--I have yet to ink up the argyle because I'm a tad intimidated about lining things up! I especially like the twine you used. It covers up any mistakes (I don't see any), and lends just the right touch to this masculine card.

I like your card! I think it could be for either a man or woman. Would have never guessed there was a mistake if you hadn't pointed it out. And you have reminded me to try stamping on kraft cardstock (I always reach for the white...LOL).

I think this is great Karen. I love the way cards turn out even when it's not what we intended. Happy Sunday, Peggy
