Featured Artist-Abby (Little Birdie Blessings)

I am thrilled today to feature Abby on my blog.  Abby’s friendship has been the greatest blessing I have received from starting my blog.  She has such a gift for encouraging others and knowing just when it is needed.  There have been many times when I have been going through a tough time or having a rough day when I would find an encouraging email from her in my inbox.  She would say just the words I needed to hear and let me know that she was praying for me.  I am so thankful for friends like that.  Abby, thank you so much for your friendship.  I appreciate you!

Abby has incredible talent in the digi world.  She loves to create things digitally, especially vintage things,  and I am always amazed at her talent.  I don’t think I could ever pick a favorite creation of Abby’s.  I love them all.  She has a very generous spirit and most everything she creates she makes available to others on her blog.  In fact, everything I am sharing with you today you can find as a freebie on her blog.

Here’s Abby~

Hi ~ my given name is Abigail Rosemarie, but I’m known to all as Abby. I’m honored that Karen has asked to feature me on her blog. I was so happy when I found her Scripture WORDart as I love to digitally incorporate scripture into my vintage images or photography. I share “Scripture Thursday” each week on my blog and I often use Karen’s WORDart as the verse for the week. You’ll find bits and pieces of encouragement, along with many free vintage images and scripture graphics if you visit.

I live in a small coastal community in Maine. I’ve been married 21 years to my best friend Bill, who happens to pastor my childhood church. We have three children between us; who are all married to wonderful people that are perfect for them. They have given us five little grandchildren to love. I LOVE being a nana. I’ve played the piano since I was 4 years old and take great comfort in playing the old hymns. My tween – teenage girls Sunday School class is one of the highlights of my week. I have a relatively quiet life and spend my time with family, friends, and blogging at Little Birdie Blessings.

One of my most favorite things to do is walk the beach and look for shells or rocks, gaze out at the ocean and breathe in God’s awesomeness. I also have great satisfaction in photographing nature and capturing the beauty around me.

Personal trials have given me the desire to reach out to others and let them know there is a loving God who cares more about them than they can comprehend. He will help them through any trial they are facing. When I read 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, I know that any trial I experienced was worth it if I can help someone else.

Featured Artist- Esther (Shoregirl)

If you have never visited Shoregirl’s blog, you are missing a great treat.  That girl is one super talented lady.  It is my great pleasure to feature her today on my blog.

Hi, my name is Esther (a.k.a. Shoregirl in the blog world), and I'm honored that Karen wanted to share my paper creations using her Word Art on her blog today.  I have benefited (greatly) by her generosity in sharing so many beautifully done freebies! Thanks Karen!
I'm a "Daughter of the King," pastor's wife, and homeschool mommy to one sweet little girl in the 4th grade this fall! I enjoy crafts of all kinds, but it's only been in the last six years that I've really gotten into Paper Crafts. I love learning new techniques and finding "frugal" substitutes for some of the more costly supplies and tools out there.
I also enjoy entertaining, "making my house a home," trying new recipes, sewing, crocheting, decorating, blogging, photography, giving gifts, and pretty much anything "creative."
You're welcome to stop by my blog:
Shoregirl's Creations, where you'll find "A little of this and a pinch of that!"

Thank you, Esther, for sharing your creativity and freebies with us today.  Be sure to stop by her blog and say hello.

Featured Artist-Bernadette Bliss

I am so happy today to be able to feature Bernadette Bliss.  As a mother raising 6 children, I admire someone who has already raised 7.  That is quite an achievement!  Bernadette has recently become a Stampin Up demonstrator and I am so excited for her.  Here is a little more about her:

Hello my name is Bernadette Bliss I am thrilled to be featured on Karen's blog this week.
Now for a little about me. I am lover and follower of Jesus, the
wife to a wonderful man for 31 years, mother of 7 wonderful adult
children, Nona to 6 extremely cute and talented grand children and
thrilled that God is blessing us with another little one in January.
I live here at 55+ Community in Arizona with  my
husband Steve who is a contract Engineer. His 9 month contract has
extended to 3 1/2 years and we continue to enjoy this beautiful state,
but I miss my children who live on the East Coast. Prayerfully,
someday I will be able to be closer to enjoy them and my
grandchildren, but I am grateful for the Lord providing for us.
I have been crafting most of my life, but designing cards became my passion
about 9 years ago. I have developed my skills since those first days by taking online
classes and just following people who have been successful at their craft. Now
I am a true "empty nester" these days, so my days seem to allow for more creativity, which
I am grateful.  Some exciting development  has occurred in my life, I just became an
Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator at the beginning of July.
I have always desired a cottage business and feel this is just the right one for me.
Crafting with great stamps, beautiful paper and everything coordinates. Just the ticket!
Since I love doing cards and love the Word of God, working with Karen's Word art is a perfect match.
The  way Karen designs the Word Art and pairs it with scripture is beautiful. It seems her choices each week
speak to my heart almost every time. I pray you enjoy using it as much as I do.
Have a blessed week and stop by my blog when you
can. I would love to hear from you! Bernadette

Thank you, Bernadette, for sharing your beautiful cards with us.  I love the way she uses pattern paper.  I always struggle with using that, although it never stops me from buying it.  I just can’t resist beautiful patterned paper. You can find more inspiration on Bernadette’s blog, Blissful Bits and Pieces.  It would be great if you could take a minute or two and drop by and leave her some love.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Featured Artist-Jennifer Dunn

I am so excited to be able to share Jennifer’s creations with you today.   I love to visit her blog and see her cards and read her beautiful posts.  Jennifer is one of the sweetest and most caring ladies I have ever “met”.  I have been so blessed by the friendships that I have developed as a result of my blog and I have been so privileged to get to know Jennifer.  She inspires me.

Jennifer

"...Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thank to God and the Father by him."  -Colossians 3:17

My name is Jennifer and I am a wife to a wonderful man and mother to four fantastic children.  I am a stay at home mom and we homeschool as well.  It has become a theme in our home that whatever we do and say and think we are always to have the Lord in mind.  This is something that spills over into my love for crafting and blogging as well. I love to share my creations on My Cubby Crafts.   This world has so many wonderful things, but in light of eternity these things endure in my mind.  The Lord Jesus Christ, His Word the Bible and the souls of men, women and children.   I love to make cards and gifts for others, to encourage them, to delight with them in special times and mostly to share the love of the Lord Jesus.  I want to be able to make people smile and feel a warm hug to.   It has been a joy and a blessing for me to be able to use Karen's wonderful word art.   Being able to use God's Word in my art, helps me to stay focused on what is most important.

Featured Artist-Sandra Mangrum

I am so excited to introduce to you my first featured artist, Sandra Mangrum.  Sandra contacted me to share her cards on my blog and I was so excited to be able to share them with my readers.  Her cards are so very beautiful and she enjoys making them to bless others.  That, my friends, is why I create this WORDart.  It touches my heart so much to see the things you make with it and to know that it is blessing others.  That blesses me more than I could ever express.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

My name is Sandra C. Mangrum. I am a retired Educator, wife and mother. I love the Lord and enjoy sharing my passion for paper crafts to encourage people with the Word of God.  I have been crafting since college. I used this medium as a classroom teacher to stimulate creativity while teaching and challenging students to learn the curriculum.

I am inspired to scrapbook to create timeless keepsakes for future generations of my family. I create cards to share the love of God through encouragement. I pray that my cards will be a channel that God uses to keep someone confidently pressing toward success rather than giving up. I feel if we plant encouragement in the lives of other people, we will reap a harvest of encouragement in our own.
