You make this world a better place

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I made this card for a dear friend who is moving away to be closer to her family.  I am going to miss her dearly.  She truly has made my world a better place.  I know wherever she goes she will make the world a better place, that’s just the type of person she is.

I broke down and bought new stamping stuff.  The first time this year.  I made it almost 4 1/2 months, so I am feeling rather proud of myself.  I really didn’t think I would be able to go that long.  I had a rather big job that I completed, so I was able to justify my spending.  I spent it all at Papertrey, so there is LOTS of Papertrey in your future.  I am so in love with all Papertrey goodness and could resist no longer.  This stamp set was in the first of three orders (yes, that’s 3).  When I go down, I guess I go down big. LOL

I have to say that I LOVE this set!  I had so much fun playing with it, and the matching die….genius!  I stamped the flowers in Melon Berry and Hawaiian Shores. I die cut the largest flower and stamped the flower in Hawaiian Shores.  I was really surprised how easy it was to stamp on the die cut.  I was afraid it would be hard to line it up, but it really was so simple to do.  I then spread some Tacky Glue all over the image and added some glitter.  This is a great way to add a heavy coat of glitter, it really sticks well.  I think I would have liked a little less glitter on this flower, but I learned something in the process.  I then added a Melon Berry button tied with twine to the center.  The sentiment is from Verve’s “All About You” set.  It expressed perfectly what I wanted to say.

Well, I am off to clean my house on this cool spring morning.  Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

Stamps Delightful Dahlia (Papertrey), All About You (Verve)
Paper Stamper’s Select White (Papertrey)
Ink Melon Berry, Hawaiian Shores (Papertrey)
Other glitter, melon berry button, twine, Dahlia die

I had two good friends move away last year, so I can empathize.

The card is gorgeous. Did you find that the tacky glue made your cardstock/paper curl up at all?

Your card is so pretty! I love the colors. I'm jealous of your PTI haul! LOL! I so want to buy a few more sets but the budget won't allow me to right now.
It's great to meet a fellow Papertrey Pixie from PA. Where in PA are you located?

Beautiful!! I love the colour combination. I am always afraid to stamp over an image in a different colour but I think I am going to have to get rid of that fear after seeing your card.
