Word Art Wednesday 1 Corinthians 16:14

Happy Wednesday to you!

It’s February, the month of love, and that means that everywhere you look you see hearts and pink and red and all things Valentiny (new word).  The Bible speaks a lot about love and how we are to love one another and to love Him most of all.  The verse this week says we are to do all things with charity (love).

If you look up charity in the dictionary, you will see that it means “Christian love; agape”.  That kind of love only comes from Jesus Christ.  We can not have that kind of love within ourselves, but need to rely on Him to place it in our hearts.  Sometimes it is really hard to feel that kind of love towards those who have hurt us.  It is much easier to feel love and compassion towards those who are hurting or unfortunate, but the Bible doesn’t give us the option on who to bestow charity on.  We are to do all things with charity.  I know there are areas in my heart that I need to give to God and let Him heal me so that I can love others the way I need to.  Am I the only one who struggles with that?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Thank you for the word art. Your comment at the end touched me. No you are not the only one who needs to work on allowing God to heal hurts. I am struggling with this and your comment was a blessing. Now I know that it is not only me who needs help in that area. But I try to remember that the piece of sand in the oyster produces a pearl and I ask God to use the hurts in my life to produce something usable for Him. Hugs. Love ya.
