If you read Psalm 42, you will see that David was going through a tough time in his life.  He is feeling discouraged and thirsting for God in his trouble.

In verse 3 he says,

“My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say, Where is thy God?”

Have you ever felt that way?  I know I have.  My favorite word in this week’s verse is, “Yet”.  David is feeling so down cast, but yet he chooses to trust the Lord and to praise Him.  He knows that God is his source of peace and joy and that God has not forsaken him no matter how alone he might feel.  I am so thankful for the promises of God that we can depend on no matter how we are feeling.  Our feelings don’t change God or His promises.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  We choose to praise Him despite our circumstances, knowing that He will never leave us or forsake us.  He is always there for you even when you don’t feel Him; trust His Word and lean on His promises that will never fail.

I want to take a moment to thank you for praying for my husband.  After two days in the hospital and more hours spent in doctor’s offices and hospitals in the last week, they have found nothing.  He is doing better though, so I am giving God all the glory.  Prayer works and I am believing.

I'm so sorry to read this about your husband. Will certainly add him to my prayers. As you know, he is in the hands of "The Great Physician" who knows exactly what is wrong with him. ~ Abby
