You know, this scripture is so reassuring to me.  So many times I do not understand what is going on in my life.  Why things are happening the way they are, and what the outcome may be are questions that often time plague me.  This scripture tells me that God is at work in my life, and that it is for His good pleasure.

I know that what is going to give Him pleasure will also be good for me.  Matthew 8:11 tells us, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”  God cares for us like no one on earth is even capable of caring for us; He also has the resources to provide for us like no one on earth does.

I can feel confident that God will complete the work He has begun in me.  Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” He will not leave me hanging to try to figure things out on my own. I may not get the answers to all my questions, but I can trust that He will finish the work He has started in me.
