Happy Resurrection Day!

(source)

I am so thankful for Jesus being willing to die on the cross for me.  Oh, what a love!  To be honest, I have a hard time to really focus on the cruelty and suffering that He suffered for me.  It is so hard for me to even think about the pain He must have felt when they drove the crown of thorns upon His head or how it felt when they nailed those spikes into His hands and feet.  I cannot comprehend it.  While I am so grateful for His death, it is His resurrection that makes forgiveness, healing and grace possible.  It would all have been for naught if He had not rose from the grave.  He overcame death and became the Victor.  I can experience victory in my life because He already won the victory for me.  He made it possible for me to have a personal relationship with Him.  Can you imagine this mighty King, the Creator of the Universe,  the Lord of Lords desires to be MY friend!  He has even gone to heaven to prepare a place for me to spend all of eternity with Him.  I am thankful that I have that hope…all because of the cross and His resurrection.

May you feel the presence of our RISEN Savior this Resurrection Sunday.

I know what you mean, Karen. The cruelty of the cross tears me up inside. I am so deeply saddened that HE endured that for me, but I am so thankful that a love so great held HIM there for me.
Blessings,
Teresa
