I Thessalonians 5:16 WORDart

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The word “rejoice” means to be glad; to take delight in.  The scripture tells us to rejoice evermore.  It is not a suggestion, it is a command.  Rejoicing is a choice we make.  I choose whether I am going to rejoice or whether I am going to find fault, be discouraged, or take pity on myself.  Jesus Christ died on the cross for me!  That in itself is worth rejoicing over.  If everything around me is falling apart and nothing seems to be going my way, I can still find joy in the fact that God loves me that much!  If I choose not to rejoice, I wonder how that makes him feel?  How would I feel if I made a huge sacrifice for my children and it did not bring them joy?  I would be crushed!  I don’t want to do that to my Lord and Savior.  He has done so much for me. I choose to rejoice!

You can download this WORDart here.

The card~

I printed the WORDart onto white cardstock.  I used the classic circle nestibilities dies to cut circles from designer paper that had the raspberry fizz color (all from Papertrey).  I also embossed each circle and adhered them to my card.  I then used my new button dies to cut white cardstock and chipboard.  I stamped the white cardstock with the stamps from Bitty Background Blocks in raspberry fizz ink. I ran the cardstock through my little Xyron Create-a-sticker and then stuck it to the chipboard.  I tied the buttons with Pink Sorbet twine.   I got a new gadget, the i-rock crystal heat setting tool,  a couple of weeks ago and tried it out on this card.  That thing is great, but I discovered that it doesn’t take too long to adhere the crystals.  If you look closely on my card, you will see where the glue came oozing out.  Oops!  I really like not having to worry about my gems falling off though.  These little guys are not going anywhere…and they’re so sparkly.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a blessed day!
