2 Timothy 1:7 WORDart

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Most of the scriptures I use for WORDart are favorite verses or verses that were read in a church service that inspired me or even verses that spoke to me in my devotions.  This verse, however; is different..it’s personal.  I will be honest and say that the past few weeks, I have struggled with fear, insecurities and uncertainty about situations in my life that are beyond my control and I have really let it get to me.  When I finally got to the place where I said, “Ok God, I can’t do this anymore.  I need your help.”, this is the scripture He gave me.  “For God has not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  When I realized the full impact of that scripture, that God’s intentions for me are not to live in fear, but with confidence that He is watching over me and that fear should not be a part of my life, I got so excited.  There is a HUGE difference between fear and power, love and a sound mind!  I have taken this scripture to heart and claimed it’s promise and let’s just say I am much happier now.  I am not living in fear and uncertainty, yes, those issues are still there, but the fear is gone and God has given me a sound mind and the power over that fear.  I am so thankful for the Word of God that encourages me and guides me through life!

For the card~

I started with a card base of kraft cardstock.  Then I cut a piece of patterned paper 4 x 5 1/4  inch.  I embossed a piece of dark brown cardstock with the Cuttlebug floral screen embossing folder and punched out six 1 1/4 inch squares.  I adhered them to my paper in 3 rows.  I then tied some brown satin ribbon around the bottom and added a yellow button tied with brown baker’s twine.  I adhered the paper to my card base.  I printed the WORDart, after changing the color to brown, onto yellow cardstock that I had cut with the Mat Stack 4 die.  I adhered this over my embossed squares with foam tape.

Supplies~

Paper- kraft, dark chocolate, lemon tart, patterned paper form Color couture download

Other-satin ribbon (Offray) yellow button, dark chocolate baker’s twine, mat stack 4 die, 1 1/4 inch square punch, floral screen embossing folder, foam tape

May God bless your day today.

I was sorry to hear that you have been ill - I hope that you and your family are on the road to recovery. I know when you don't feel well, it's easy to get bogged down in doubt and worries.

I wish you a great week ahead!!
