Mr. & Mrs. Dustin Kramer

The wedding was beautiful, such a wonderful day. The happiest bride and groom since my own wedding day I am sure. Here they are after the ceremony. Don't they just look so incredibly happy and content together?
Here we are all together. It is really hard to get that many people to all face the same direction and have a smile on their face at the same time. Matthew had a quirky look on his face that was just so natural for him that this was my favorite family photo.
I love this photo. I think it captures their feelings of "its over and I can't believe we are finally married." They have been great friends since they were just little and we always just knew that they would be together forever. It was funny how many people told me at the wedding that they had known since they were just little kids that they would spend the rest of their lives together. We are so happy for them and we couldn't ask for a better son-in-law. He really cherishes our daughter, that is a wonderful thing to see your daughter so loved and to know that she feels the same way about him.
Thanks for letting me share. I will post the invitation, table card and programs I made for their wedding soon. I still need to make their wedding card. I haven't even had the chance and thought I would just give it to them when they come back from their honeymoon.

Another Recipe Box

I made this recipe box for my daughter and soon to be son-in-law. I used the tutorial found here. Their kitchen colors are going to be black, white and red. I used Damask Designs to make the patterned paper. I am totally in love with this set. It is the best Damask set ever. I just realized I forgot to take a picture of the inside. You can refer to my post here to see the other recipe box I made. I made these recipe dividers with black cardstock and the tabs were stamped in red and matted on red circles.

I painted the clothespin from AC Moore with black acrylic paint and then modpodged the paper onto it. I finished it off by tying a cute red ribbon around it.

Supplies

Stamps-Damask Designs, Recipe Box, Recipe Box Label (Papertrey)
Ink-True Black, Pure Poppy (Papertrey)
Paper-White, True Black, Pure Poppy, 2008 Bitty Dot Basics True Black (Papertrey)
Other- Black saddle stitched ribbon (Papertrey), curved rectangles nestibilities, mod podge, black acrylic paint, red grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey)

Well, the wedding is next Saturday. I will be sharing pictures soon of the things I have been doing that have kept me away from my blog. I am finishing up on the programs. I wanted to wait and make sure there were no last minute changes. The table cards are finished, they look really nice. I am just waiting for my daughter to finalize the seating chart so I can make the place cards and I think I will be able to start to relax a little bit.

Thanks for visiting my blog and being so patient with me while I wade through all of the wedding stuff. I am really looking forward to getting back to making the fun stuff, although I have really enjoyed making the things for my daughter's wedding and consider it a real honor that she asked me to do it.

Have a blessed day!

A Masculine Birthday Card

Ok, all you bloggers out there, how do you come up with blog post titles? I am so title challenged it is not funny. I never know what to put in the title space. I spend more time trying to figure out what to put in there than typing my entire post.

Anyways, this is a birthday card I made for a male friend. I find masculine cards to be a challenge and almost always find myself reaching for Father Knows Best. This is the first time; however, I have used the circular tree image. I really like it. The grass is from Mountain Scenery.
I stamped the image on the inside as well. I like to continue the card on the inside using something that coordinates from the front. The sentiment is from Everyday Blessings.

I know my blog posts have been infrequent, that will change soon. I just need to get through this wedding. Ironically, I have more birthday cards to make in the month of March than any other month of the year. I am still creating, but struggling to find the time to post. To all of my blogging buddies on SCS, I am sorry I have not had the time to visit your blogs or participate in the challenges, but I intend to catch up. Please be patient with me. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Have a great day!

Supplies

Stamps- Mountain Scenery (TAC), Father Knows Best, Everyday Blessings (Papertrey), Greetings (The Paper Company)
Paper-Kraft, New Leaf (Papertrey)
Ink- Palette Burnt Umber, New Leaf (Papertrey)

Owl in a Tree

Wow, time really does fly when you are so busy. Once again I have neglected my blog. My daughter is getting married 3 weeks from today and things are pretty busy at my house right now. I needed a masculine birthday card and this is what I came up with. I used Papertrey Out on a Limb and the owl is from Unity July Kit of the Month. I love that owl! I stamped and then used the rectangle nestibilities to cut it out. While it was still in the die, I used a color duster to apply Ripe Avocado ink. I did the same thing with the ribbon tag die. I used the outline leaf stamp to stamp the background in ripe avocado on the same color cardstock. The sentiment is from Birthday Basics.
I wanted to decorate the inside a bit, so I stamped the same branch and leaf as the front and added the sentiment from Birthday Basics.

Supplies:

Stamps-Out on a Limb, Birthday Basics (Papertrey), Its the little things (Unity)
Paper- Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado, Kraft (Papertrey)
Ink-Ripe Avocado (Papertrey), Burnt Umber (Palette)
Accessories-rectangle nestibilities, ribbon tags (Spellbinders), Dark chocolate twill ribbon (Papertrey)
