Happy Saturday! I made this card when my mojo went missing. I just wasn't feeling it at all. I was attempting to make this card for the Clean and Simple challenge in SCS which was to use the thumping technique.
I tried to make my own background on this card. The verdict is still out on how I feel about it. I started with kraft cardstock and stamped the images in Versamark, Ripe Avocado and Spring Moss. For the main image, I stamped the wreath in Spring Moss and then went in with Ripe avocado and gave it some highlights. I used the Ripe Avocado inkpad with a fantastix brush point coloring tool to do this right on the stamp before stamping it onto Rustic Cream cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Ripe Avocado ink. I went over the wreath in the main image as well as the leaves on the background with a Mint Spica glitter pen. I matted a strip of green tea leaves paper onto Ripe Avocado cardstock and punched with the Fiskars rope punch, then tied some Spring Moss ribbon and adhered it to my card. The main image is adhered with foam tape to give it dimension.
I want to thank you for the encouraging comments you left on my last post. It is encouraging to know I am not the only one to get frustrated at times. A couple of days off really helped and I am beginning to feel inspired again.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed weekend!
