Vinyl Crazy

It has been way too long since I have posted.  School has started in the Murray household and we are getting back into a routine.  A very welcome thing for everyone!  I am hoping to get back into my regular blogging schedule soon.  In the meantime, I thought I would share what I have been up to this summer.  I have been falling more in love with my Cricut and vinyl everyday (or at least every time I use it.)  There are infinite possibilities!

I have recently been asked by a local store owner to sell my cards and gift items on consignment, which is very exciting for me.  So…here are some of the things that have been keeping me busy.

This first item is actually a tile I made for my husband for our anniversary.  He loves for me to make him gifts he can put in his office.

Here are some things I’ve made for the store.

I have some others that I have made recently that I will share after I get some photos taken.  Just wanted to let everyone know I am still alive and kicking.

*For my fellow bloggers on my blogging groups- I haven’t forgotten you, I just haven’t spent a lot of time on the computer blog hopping.  I hope to get by all of your blogs in the next few days.  I am so sorry!

Have a blessed day!

More info-The anniversary and “real men” designs were designed by me.  The other three in the middle were designs I purchased at www.myvinyldesigner.com.

Sweet Anniversary

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My husband and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary on July 29th.  This is the card I made for him.  I admit I threw it together and it is not my best work, but he said he loved it.  I think he even said it is one of his favorites…he’s so sweet.  It has all his favorite sweet things…ice cream, cupcakes and bubble gum.  I started with kraft cardstock and stamped the polka dots in Versamark ink, then colored them in randomly with Copic Markers.  I stamped the images onto the tags then added glitter and colored in parts of them with Prismacolor pencils.  I used the extra large rickrack border die to cut a piece of Enchanted Evening cardstock.  I then added texture with the Sunshine impression plate and added a strip of glitter to the middle.  I adhered the tags with foam tape and then added the finishing touches of twine-threaded buttons and a gem and heart sticker.  I realized I forgot to take a picture of the inside but it says, “You make life sweet”.  So appropriate!

How has your summer been?  I have spent the last few days in front of the computer making lesson plans for school.  I actually love the planning and organizing of the school year even though it is very time consuming.  I am looking forward to starting the school year and getting back into a routine.  I think my kids are, too.  It is always nice to hear them say they can’t wait for school to start. I just wish that the excitement lasted longer. haha

I am off to a Ladies Conference this weekend.  I am SO excited!! I am really looking forward to a girl’s getaway, it’s been a long time.  Hope your weekend is blessed!
