Little Stinkers Birthday

Happy Birthday, Aubrey! I made this card for my niece's birthday. All stamps are from The Angel Company. I used Little Stinkers from the magalogue Serendipity. This will be available for purchase February 2nd. The happy birthday and flower stamps are from Linear Sentiments. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and chalked the background in blue shimmer chalk before die-cutting it with Label One nesties. The bling on the umbrella is from Martha Stewart. The happy birthday is stamped in Graphite Black Brilliance ink, and the flower strip is stamped with Palette Claret ink. The bling is my fantastic-find cell phone bling. I used the Martha Stewart doily punch on the pink Prism cardstock. The pattern paper is from my scrap stash -- I am not sure who the manufacturer is. I am trying to use up some of my ever growing pile of scraps. The ribbon is from Offray (I think) and the button from Autumn Leaves "A Rhonna Christmas" is threaded with embroidery floss.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a great weekend!!

Love Blooms

I just bought this set called Love Blooms from The Angel Company. It is from the Fall Supplement. I thought it would make a really fun Valentine's card. I used patterned paper from the DCWV Love & Wedding scrapbook kit in a stack that I bought on clearance for a steal of a price and thought it would make some great cards. I cuttlebugged pure poppy cardstock with the hearts cuttlebug folder, and then realized that I can't see it anyways. Oh well. The pink strip is Prism cardstock that I punched with the Martha Stewart mini hearts border punch. The ribbon is Papertrey pure poppy, the bling is cell phone bling I bought on clearance at target for 80 cents. Great deal. Ok, on to the image. I stamped the tree trunk in Palette Burnt Umber and then emphasized it by coloring in some detail with a brown Prismacolor pencil. The hearts are stamped in Papertrey Pure Poppy ink and I used my clear Stardust glitter pen to outline some of the hearts. I chalked over the hearts with pink shimmer chalk and added a little grass to the base of the tree with green shimmer chalks. The hearts "falling" from the tree are Cloud 9 heart rain dot stickers.
This is the inside of the card. I used a sentiment from Souls Kisses. This set has some great Valentine sentiments in it. I stamped this in Papertrey Pure Poppy ink. This stamp set is part of the Wonderful Winter Wishes promo. This special ends February 2nd, so not much time left if you want to grab it. The hearts are from the Love Blooms set. The bling on the heart is from Martha Stewart.
Well, I have been very chatty today. I hope you didn't mind putting up with me. Thanks for stopping by.

Sneak Peek!

My upline, Chris, sent me some images from the Spring/Summer Magalogue to play with. Thanks, Chris! I used this image from the Everything is Blooming set available from The Angel Company on February 1st. I used Bazzill cardstock and paper from the DCWV Glitter Stack. The ribbon is from Offray, the button is from my stash. I threaded hemp twine in the button and wrapped it around my paper piercer to make it curly. The image is colored with Prismacolor markers and I used Pink Poinsettia Blingz on the tie on her dress and the dots on the boots. I also used Golden Wheat Shimmerz on the flowers. I used a C-1 Copic marker for the shadowing and I have to say I am not really happy with the way it turned out. I really need to work on my shadowing technique, I can never seem to get it right.
Here is a close-up shot so you can see the shimmer.

Thanks for looking.

The Angel Company has just released the first edition of its magalogue, a magazine/catalog. It has 42 new stamp sets as well as new stamp sets for hostesses and some great new accessories. It is filled with great ideas, tips and card recipes. The magalogue goes "live" on February 1st. Contact me for more info or to order your own magalogue.
There are so many great stamp sets in here, I thought I would share some of my favorites.

Recipe Gift Set

Here is another Christmas gift I made. This was for my niece who loves to cook. I used Papertrey Recipe Box and Recipe Box Label stamp sets. The paper is Papertrey Pink Patterns, White and Berry Sorbet. I used my JustRite rectangle stamper and Times New Roman font to stamp her name. I painted a large clothespin white and then decoupaged the paper on top and tied a ribbon around it for a recipe card holder and added a beaded pen.

What I've been doing with my Cricut

I love cutting vinyl with my Cricut. I used the Sure Cuts a Lot software to make these floating frames. Sure Cuts a Lot is awesome. You can cut any True Type font or dingbat with your Cricut. I've had so much fun playing with it.
My niece is very into drama, so I thought I would make her her own "name in lights sign". The lighthouse picture was a gift to my brother-in-law from my husband. He wanted me to make him something using lighthouses and this saying. The lighthouse was a dingbat that I simplified in Photoshop Elements and then cut with the Sure Cuts a Lot software.
I used the Cricut cartridge Street Sign and the Cricut Design software to make this street sign for my nephew.
Have a great day!

More Monograms

Here are some more monograms I made for Christmas presents for my nieces. I was totally focused on finishing these and did not take the time to write down my supplies. I thought I would be able to remember, but my rememberer doesn't work as well as it used to. Sorry about that.

Finally!

I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to my blog. Things have been so crazy at my house lately, I haven't even had a chance to turn on my laptop, let alone blog. It has taken me much longer to get back into a routine than I had thought it would. My husband has been very sick for the past few weeks and we have spent many hours in the emergency room and doctor's offices. They have finally determined it is his gall bladder and he is scheduled for surgery on the 15th. It is nice to finally know what is causing the problem and a great relief to know it is not anything life threatening.

I am sharing Christmas presents I had made that I wasn't able to share before. It's nice to be able to share them now (especially since I haven't had time to create anything new). These are monograms I made for my nieces. Their names are cut using the Olivia Cuttlebug alphabet. I adhered fun foam and pattern paper together with my Xyron to add more dimension and then cut it using my Cuttlebug.
Supplies- paper (stash), fun foam, vellum, Olivia Cuttlebug alpha, Martha Stewart doily punch, prima flowers, Shimmerz, butterfly stamp (Purple Daisy Designs), butterfly punch (EK Success) pink embossing glitter (Ranger), lavender embossing glitter (Ranger), Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Maya Road velvet blossoms, Maya Road sheer blossoms, brads, ribbon (Offray)
