June Word Art Wednesday WORDart

Hello there! I hope you have had a wonderful week.  I was finally able to get LiveWriter working for me…so excited about that.  If my last two posts look a little strange it’s because I have been just winging it with Blogger.  I haven’t used blogger in years and have all my settings set up in LiveWriter.  It’s so nice to have it back!

On another happy note, I am really enjoying this fall weather we are having.  As far as I’m concerned, fall could stay here all year around, I LOVE it.

On to the June Word Art Wednesday WORDart files.  Enjoy!

Hello!
I am finally getting around to posting the rest of April’s Word Art Wednesday WORDart.  Please forgive the long silence on my blog.  Life has kept me very busy and I needed the break.  I will be getting caught up on the WORDart posts one month at a time, meaning the next post will be the WORDart for all of May and so on until I am up to date.

I love this verse!

The Lord HAS done great things for me.  It doesn’t matter what situation you may find yourself in, if you look around you, you will find so much to be thankful for.  And thankfulness brings gladness.

Word Art Wednesday–2 Samuel 22:47

Hello there and happy April.

Today is April 1st, “April Fool’s Day”, and I am hoping I make it through the day without any clear rubber bands on my kitchen faucet sprayer or string bombs on my laundry room door.  My kids like to pull pranks on me and I am hoping they don’t realize what day it is.  If they do, I will have to use my energy to come up with some creative ways to pay them back.  Unfortunately, they are more creative than I am in the prank department.

Anyway, on to today’s verse.

I know this is very similar to last week’s verse, but I have made it a little more on the masculine side.  I hope it is not too redundant and you will find a use for it.  There are so many similar verses in the Bible, and I believe that God was trying to get His point across to us.  He lives and He wants to be our God, our rock, and our salvation and He wants us to exalt Him.  He is so worthy!

I pray you all have a wonderful Easter weekend as we celebrate our Lord’s death and resurrection.  It’s all about HIM!

I am so behind!

Hello there!

I know I have not posted in a week or two.  I have been busy cleaning and purging my craft room (anyone interested in House Mouse stamps?)  The clutter is driving me crazy!!  Just when I think I am getting it all under control our water heater decided to quit and leave a nice big water puddle in our basement.  What a crazy mess that was!

Anyways, I am back and playing catch-up so I will leave you with the last two Word Art Wednesday verses as well as this week’s verse.

This week’s verse is Psalm 1:1.

The verse from February 18th was Mark 12:30.

The verse from February 25th was John 15:9.

I have also been very busy creating a new WORDart set for Mother’s Day.  I will be listing it in my Etsy shop in the next day or so and will post a shop update once I get it listed and I will try to remember to post it on Facebook.

Have a great day!

Word Art Wednesday Proverbs 10:12

Happy Wednesday!

Today’s verse is another verse on love, keeping with the Valentine theme.

Papercraft Memories: Proverbs 10:12 WORDart by Karen

I just want to say thank you to all of you who let me know you could relate to my struggle with loving those who have hurt me.  It is nice to know that I am not alone and I appreciate you reaching out to me.  Ironically, this week’s verse has the same message.  When we hate it just stirs up trouble, but when we give it to God and let Him love through us it always seems to smooth things over.  God’s amazing love is so powerful, so sweet and pure!

Have a blessed day.

Word Art Wednesday 1 Corinthians 16:14

Happy Wednesday to you!

It’s February, the month of love, and that means that everywhere you look you see hearts and pink and red and all things Valentiny (new word).  The Bible speaks a lot about love and how we are to love one another and to love Him most of all.  The verse this week says we are to do all things with charity (love).

Papercraft Memories: I Corinthians 16:14 WORDart by Karen

If you look up charity in the dictionary, you will see that it means “Christian love; agape”.  That kind of love only comes from Jesus Christ.  We can not have that kind of love within ourselves, but need to rely on Him to place it in our hearts.  Sometimes it is really hard to feel that kind of love towards those who have hurt us.  It is much easier to feel love and compassion towards those who are hurting or unfortunate, but the Bible doesn’t give us the option on who to bestow charity on.  We are to do all things with charity.  I know there are areas in my heart that I need to give to God and let Him heal me so that I can love others the way I need to.  Am I the only one who struggles with that?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Word Art Wednesday Psalm 71:14

Hello there and happy Wednesday!

It’s time for this week’s Word Art Wednesday verse.

Papercraft Memories: Psalm 71:14 WORDart by Karen

Hope:

1. trust, reliance

2a. desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment; expectation of fulfillment or success

2b. someone or something on which hopes are centered 2c. something hoped for

Continual:

1. continuing indefinitely in time without interruption 2: recurring in steady usually rapid succession

Praise:

1. to express a favorable judgment of

2. to glorify especially by the attribution of perfections

So if we were to replace these words with the definitions, it would say:

But I will trust with expectation of fulfillment without interruption, and will yet glorify your perfections more and more.

Reading the definitions and replacing them in the verse sort of changed up the dynamic of this verse for me, especially replacing the word hope with trust.  When I think of hope, I don’t really think “trust”.  I think more of some sort of expectation, but not necessarily with trust attached.  I am not even sure I thought of hope as an expectation with fulfillment attached.  Thinking about the definition of the word “hope” has just kind of stopped me in my tracks, so to speak.  God has been teaching me a lot about trust lately.  I guess it is not an easy thing to learn, because it has really been a struggle for me.  God has continually placed situations in my life where all I can do is go to Him and trust Him.  To place my hope in Him as the answer…knowing that He is a perfect God, all-knowing, all-present, always on time.

Word Art Wednesday 3 John 2

Hello there!

I apologize for the late posting of this week’s Word Art Wednesday WORDart.  I have been on a major purging and organizing binge and totally spaced posting.  On the upside, my house is finally starting to show all the hard work I have been putting into it.  I love organized, functional spaces!

Isn’t this such a beautiful scripture!  This was a request from a reader.  The thing I love most about requests is that it draws my attention to scriptures that I may not have noticed before.  As always, Karen has a wonderful devotional on this verse on the Word Art Wednesday challenge blog.  I encourage you to visit the blog and read it.  While you are there, check out all the design inspiration.  The design team is always amazing!

Thank you for visiting!

My Word and Verse for 2015

Hello there and welcome to the first Wednesday of 2015!

This week so I am sharing my verse of the year with you along with some other goodies.

I shared how I chose my word and verse of the year in my last post, but I hadn’t yet had the chance to create the WORDart when I posted it so I am playing a little bit of catch-up today.

I used the New King James for this WORDart because I like the way it explains the verse.

I love to have my verse of the year displayed beautifully in my craft studio where I can see it often and this year I designed a lovely watercolor print.

You can download it for your own personal use by clicking on the image above.

I also created a print with my word for the year.

I designed this to use as a wallpaper background for my computer screen so I see it every day.  If you would like to have the computer wallpaper, feel free to email me and I will be happy to send it to you.

I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in my life this year.  Recently I was praying and I was telling God that “I believe you can take care of this situation.”  He said, “But do you trust me to?”  I said, “But isn’t that the same thing?”  He said, “No, it’s not.”  So I went and got my dictionary and looked up the words.  Believe means “to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so”.  Trust means “1. reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc. of a person or thing; confidence 2. confident expectation of something; hope”.  I was so overwhelmed by the second definition of trust…confident expectation.  Trust and believe are very similar in their meanings except for the words reliance and expectation. So many times I pray and I feel like He’s God and He’s in control and whatever He wills will be done, and I don’t put a lot of confident expectation into my prayer.  Sad, but true.  I have felt so completely out of control of my life in the past year that I have almost given up hope or expectation of anything.  So this year I have resolved to face each day with anticipation and excitement of what God is going to do.  I will face the day with, “This is the day that you have made, Lord, what are you going to do today, what doors are you going to open, what prayers are you going to answer, what opportunities are you going to send my way?” and expect it.  I challenge you to do the same.

I pray you have a victorious 2015 and a blessed week.

This week’s verse is such an encouraging verse for me.  I am so glad that the Lord finishes what He starts.  I have started so many projects only to lose interest or find myself too busy to finish them, but that is not the case with our Lord.  There are times when I feel He has forgot about me, but I only need to pick up my Bible and be encouraged that that is not the case at all.  Just because we can not see His hand at work in our life and He does not seem to be working on our timetable does not mean that He is not working on our behalf.  Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!

I am compiling scriptures for Word Art Wednesday for 2015.  If you have any scriptures you would like to see, please send me an email or leave a comment.

Thank you all for stopping by today.

Word Art Wednesday Luke 2:10

Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to another Word Art Wednesday.  I have another “Christmas” scripture for you this week.  The best (and most important) thing about Christmas is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.  We are not limited to celebrating the birth of Christ one day of the year, but we can celebrate it every day.  This scripture isn’t just a Christmas scripture, but one that speaks hope and encouragement every day of the year.

Papercraft Memories: Luke 2:10 WORDart by Karen

You can’t really speak about the birth of Christ without also mentioning His death because that is why He was born.  He was born to die for us, to take on our sins and give us eternal life with Him.   Because of His death we can have a personal relationship with Him.  That is why His birth brings so much joy.  The most wonderful thing is that this promise isn’t just meant for a limited amount of people or for a special type of person, but it is to ALL people.  Isn’t that wonderful!

Word Art Wednesday Matthew 1:21

Hello!  It’s Word Art Wednesday on Thursday.

I have a Christmas scripture for you this week, so if you are still working on Christmas cards (or haven’t started yet), hopefully you will find this useful.  The Word Art Wednesday design team did an amazing job with this verse as they always do.  I love seeing what they create each week.  There is so much inspiration on the Word Art Wednesday blog!

I am sorry for once again being late.  My Etsy shop has kept me very busy lately for which I am very thankful.  Since my husband lost his job August 1st my Etsy shop has become a priority and every single sale is a huge blessing to our family.  I am so thankful God led me to open my Etsy shop last year.  He knew what the future held and where I needed to be at this time in my life.  He is so awesome!  I love looking back and seeing God’s hand in things.  Sometimes we make decisions that we think are so trivial, but when we look back we can see that it was a God thing.  Seeing God’s hand in “the little things” mean so much when you are going through those tough times. I have learned being thankful makes a big difference in the way we see things.

“Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”

Praying you all are having a very blessed holiday season.

Word Art Wednesday James 1:17

Hello there!  Welcome to Word Art Wednesday.

On this week of the Thanksgiving holiday, we find our mailboxes and email boxes full of Black Friday advertisements and gift giving guides for Christmas gift giving.  You may be putting together your Christmas list and trying to figure out the perfect gift for each one on your list…it’s so frustrating, isn’t it, when you don’t know what to get someone you feel obligated to buy a gift for.  I am so thankful for Jesus Christ, the perfect gift.

Papercraft Memories: James 1:17 WORDart by Karen for personal use

Aren’t you thankful for the good and perfect gift of Jesus Christ?  Every blessing flows from Him!  He never changes and He always keeps his promises.   I am so thankful for the many blessings in my life and I am thankful that I know the source from which they come.  Have you ever been given a gift you loved and didn’t know where it came from?  Didn’t it drive you crazy that you didn’t know who to thank?  Did it consume your every thought trying to figure out who gave it to you, who knew you so well to give you something you really loved or needed?  There is no doubt who my blessings come from, who knows me so well to know what I need even better than I do.  I am so thankful for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and cannot thank Him enough for everything He has done for me.  This Thanksgiving is bittersweet for me.  I am missing our son who left home, but so excited to have our granddaughter visiting with us for a few weeks.  She is such a delight and we love every minute we have with her.  She is a gift from God and such a blessing.

I pray each of you have a blessed Thanksgiving surrounded by love and laughter and loved ones, creating beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
