Proverbs 31:28 WORDart

 OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Since Mother’s Day is just a couple of weeks away, I thought I would share some WORDart honoring mothers.   I have been truly blessed with a wonderful mother. I know the scripture says that her children will rise up and call her blessed, but I feel like I am the one who has been blessed by her.  I am who I am today because of her guidance and example to me.  I am very thankful for her and her friendship and support through the years.  Thanks, Mom, I love you.

Click here if you would like to download the WORDart.

Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge

PTI Blog Hop Logo I am so excited that I get to participate in the Papertrey Blog Hop this month.  The theme is dedicated to all the boys and men in our lives and I have lots of those.  : )  This is the card I made for my son’s 13th birthday.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA I used the Just the Ticket and It’s Official stamp sets along with the Just the Ticket border die, Spiral notebook page die and Seeing Stars dies.  I die cut the 13 using the By the Numbers dies then ran them through my Xyron and added glitter.  I used foam tape to pop them up and give them dimension.

1 Corinthians 15:57 WORDart

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I am so thankful for the victory we have through Christ Jesus.  During this Easter season, we are so mindful of Jesus dying on the cross and resurrecting again that we might spend eternity in heaven with Him.  He also died that we might have victory through Him over all of our transgressions, guilt, iniquities, infirmities, afflictions…  Whatever we need, can be found in Him.

The WORDart, as well as the framed art above can be found HERE.

I apologize for the not-so-great picture.  It is just not picture taking weather around here and doesn’t look like it will be for a few more days.   I designed the “framed art” (I don’t know what else to call it) above in Photoshop.  I have had this scripture on the chalkboard in my kitchen for weeks now and it speaks to me every time I read it, so I thought I would frame it and leave it out.  I have included it in the download file if you would like to use it.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to Abby for designing a blog button for me.  You can grab it off the right side bar on my blog if you would like.  Check out her blog, she has amazing vintage creations  and lots of free downloads.  Thank you, Abby, for your kindness and friendship.  I appreciate you so much!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Have a blessed day!

1 Thessalonians 5:24 WORDart

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I am so thankful to know that God will finish what He has started in me.   He will not abandon me, but He is faithful to see me all the way through to the end.   Thank you, Lord,  for your faithfulness to me and for seeing me not only as I am but for who I can be in You.

This WORDart can be downloaded here if you would like to use it.

I printed the WORDart directly onto my card base of Rustic Cream cardstock, then used the Edgers 1 die to die cut the bottom of the card front.  I cut a piece of enchanted evening paper and stamped it with Polka Dot Basics 2 and adhered it to the inside bottom of the card.  I also used a piece of it on the top right corner after cutting a notch out of it.  I finished the card off with some mandarin baker’s twine and some orange zest buttons.

Thank you for being patient with me as I spent time with my family.  We had a great week and I enjoyed every minute of it.  I just wish it hadn’t gone by so quickly.  Time flies when you’re having fun…or just taking some time to relax.

Have a blessed day!

Family Time

My husband is taking this week off from work to spend with the family, so I am taking a break from my computer and craft room to spend time with them.

Thanks for understanding and I hope everyone has a great week!

Cricut Meets Cork

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So I had this thought that it would be so cool to decorate a plate with cork.  I pulled out my Cricut and my adhesive cork and set out to see if it would work.  I used a file that I found on The Free SVG Blog.  It cut pretty well, although I did have to clean up a few straggly pieces.  I cut it with the multi cut feature set to cut twice using the deep cut blade on 6, the pressure on 5 and the speed on 3.  I wouldn’t advice cutting it three times, as it was starting to crumble the edges a bit after the second time.

After I cut it, I used some Angel Wings Shimmer paint to give it a little shimmer.  It looks great and I really love the texture!

I would love to see what you cut with cork.  Please leave a comment and share your link.

Thanks for stopping by!
