Psalm 46:1 WORDart

Psalm 46:1

Here is yet another scripture about God being our strength.  It seems to be a recurring theme with me these days.  I am very thankful for the strength He gives me.  He is my refuge from the stresses of life.  Homeschooling four children, being a wife to my wonderful husband, keeping up a house, laundry, making meals and finding a few minutes here and there for a hobby would never be possible on my own strength—at least not with a good attitude. ;)  I love those moments alone with Him, where I can feel Him infusing me with His strength.  God is so good to me!

Special Requests Wordart

Great strength

I had a special request from Teresa to create this wordart of one of her favorite sayings.  She was so excited to share this with everyone.

I do take special requests for wordart, but I have decided that in the future I will only create it for free if you are willing to share it on my blog.  I feel it’s fair compensation for my time if you share it with others.  If you would like something that is personal and only for you to use I would love to create it for you,  just contact me and we can discuss pricing.  I hope this isn’t offensive to anyone, I spend many hours creating my WORDart and my fulfillment comes from sharing, your comments, and knowing that it is being used.  The Bible says that His Word never returns void, so let’s share it so it can do God’s perfect work.

Thanks, Teresa, for being so eager to share.

Have a blessed day!

2 Timothy 3:15

DSC_4583-Edit

I made this WORDart to use in my kid’s school room.  As a homeschooling mom, my children’s education is a high priority for me, as it is to any mother.  My children reading and studying the word of God is so important!  They need to know that God is their strength when they are feeling weak, that He is their healer when they are sick, that His grace is sufficient for whatever situation they might find themselves in.  I want them to feel God’s approval in their lives and to not be ashamed that they are His children and to love His word.

I had some fun playing around with the colors, even making a fall themed one to match my fall décor.   You are welcome to use any of these, just click on the link under the image to download it.  They are 4 x 6 and ready to print and frame.  The link for the black and white jpg and png files is at the bottom.

A Family Sign and a Card

The Frankfords family sign

Our family had several friends get married recently and this is one of the gifts I made.  I have been admiring signs for so long I thought I would give it a try.  I had so much fun making this, I know I am going to be making many more.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I made their wedding card very simple.  I started with a card base of Cryogen White cardstock.  Cryogen White is a white shimmer paper, it has just the right amount of shimmer…and I love it.  I stamped the Background Basics: Houndstooth in Encore Silver.  Check out that shimmer!  I then stamped Congrats from Think Big Favorites #5 in Hawaiian Shores ink.  I added three gems that I colored with an R05 Copic marker to the bottom left hand side.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from Verve’s Anniversary Birds stamp set in Melon Berry ink and the flourish from PTI’s Fancy Flourishes in Hawaiian Shores ink.  I love the way that flourish mimics the font on the front of the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.  Have a blessed day!

Psalm 33:21 WORDart

Psalm 33_21

Here is another WORDart for you.  I hope you find it useful for something.

Isn’t it so true that when we put our trust in Jesus Christ, we find ourselves to be joyful?  Why carry all of that stress around when we can let Him do it for us?  He knows what is best for us anyways and He wants to carry our burdens, just say “Yes, Lord!”

You can download the WORDart here.

I want to give a big thank you to Grace from Gracenotes For Today for awarding me the Simply Ingenious! award.  I feel deeply honored.  Thank you so much, Grace!

My “Washi Tape” Card

DSC_4531-Edit

This is my first time doing the Make It Monday challenge from Papertrey.  I saw the video on making your own washi tape and I had to give it a try.  I have been admiring washi tape from afar now for quite some time and just could not resist.  I didn’t have Scor-Tape in the correct size so I decided to improvise.  I did have some medical tape left over from the hazards of summer, so I thought that might work.  I am happy with the results, but I did notice that the ink really absorbs into the tape and would probably work better with more vibrant colors.  I stamped the polka dots from BB: Polka Dot Basics II in Aqua Mist ink.  It looks much more vibrant in real life, but I had a hard time conveying that in my photo.  I stamped the pitcher in Hawaiian Shores ink.  The leaves and flowers are stamped in Jenni Bowlin Seed Packet and  PTI Raspberry Fizz.  After stamping those images from Iconic Images, I wanted to soften the edges.  I used a sponge to go around the edges with Fresh Snow ink and then to add more dimension went around the edges only with Antique Linen distress ink.  I also stamped some swirls from Fancy Flourishes in Antique Linen at the corners.  The birthday sentiment is from Damask Designs and is stamped in Raspberry Fizz.  I had so much fun making my own washi tape and will definitely be using this technique in the future.

I am so excited about this three day weekend.  I just wish my must-do list would stop outnumbering my want-to-do list.

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Psalm 121:1-2 WORDart

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is a card I made with today’s WORDart.  I know, I know, I actually made a card!  I used a stamp from The Angel Company’s Mountain Scenery set.  It was the closest stamp I had to hills.  I stamped it in Palette Noir then restamped it without reinking above it.  I used the leaf border die to die cut Ripe Avocado cardstock and adhered it to my card using a glue pen, then wrapped some Honeydew baker’s twine from The Twinery around it.  The WORDart was printed directly onto the kraft card base first before I did all the above. ;)

You can download the WORDart here.

As always, I would love to know what you think or any suggestions you may have and I would love to see what you create with the WORDart.

Have a blessed day!
